Stump Grinding
Stump Grinding is the last stage of permanent tree removal. After trees have been felled, you will have been left with an unsightly, ground level tree stump. if the tree stump is not large, or leaving the tree stump in place is not an issue for you, it can be left in the ground but may cause problems in the future, include the occurrance of root diseases and fungi such as honey fungus. Suckering can also occur with new shoots growing from the stump if it’s still alive, particularly with willow.
Stump Grinding can be done at any time of year. Smaller stumps can be removed by hand, though the majority will require the use of specialist equipment. We have a range of stump grinding equipment, including the Predator 38X Stump Grinder, to enable us to tackle each task on it’s individual merits. This allows us to take into consideration the surrounding area and access requirements. For some properties where side or rear access is an issue, The Predator 38X is ideal, allowing it to be taken through a 26" gateway, and therefore suitable for most gardens with gate access.

The Predator 38X is a big machine in a small package. The Predator 38X has a 54" swing, 18" inch cutting depth, 30" cutting height and impressive 38 horse power, yet it will fit through a 26" wide gateway, making it the narrowest machine available in it’s class. The Multi-Tip cutting system compliments the stump grinder perfectly with a guaranteed 25% efficiency increase over standard finger teeth.
